The BD Vacutainer Safety-Lok comes with flexible wings that allow greater control during a one-handed application. To enable the user to see when the insertion is successful, blood flashback can be seen through the shield. The BD Vacutainer Safety-Lok comes assembled and ready for use, and built to minimize risk and maximize ease + comfort for both the patient and the caregiver. After samples are collected, the needle can be locked into position as the transparent shield is adjusted over the needle. This ensures the safety for both the patient and caregiver.
The BD Vacutainer® Safety-Lok™ blood collection set is simple, easy to use and safety engineered. The safety mechanism can be activated immediately after the blood draw and helps protect against needle-stick injury. It is also offered with a pre-attached holder to add convenience and help ensure OSHA single-use holder compliance.
